So, while not all gay men use emoji, it is fair to say that a significant number do and that they are more likely to use them than straight men. However, studies have shown that people who identify as LGBT+ are more likely to use emoji than those who don’t, and that gay men in particular are more likely to use certain types of emoji than straight men. There is no one answer to this question as different people use different emoji depending on their own personal preferences.
